'Declan Smith' - beware
Some months ago I was contacted via someone else, by a 'Declan Smith' (declansmith14@hotmail.com) , who asked if he could have a scan of a photograph or two I had allowed to be used in a book about 617 Squadron, claiming that he was working on a project with the Gulf War veteran John Nichol. I duly ...

The first in five sections covers the aircraft and bombs, with some stunning CGI images of the Lancaster developed from the original Avro engineering drawings. Vol 2 concentrates on the Squadron, with profiles and photos o...

Re: Dambusters Vol 1: The Rise of Precision Bombing March 19

I have been asked by my publisher to check the text for plagiarism, and have found that it contains 263 photos, of which 160 are taken directly from five other books, complete with their captions. Another 80 or so are also copied from other boks with 'generic' titl...

Re: P47 "Jug"
I have a number of people who would have wanted them, and I should have picked up many more, especially considering a large wad of about 1000 landed about 20 feet from me!

Hi Steve
Its a Swedish book (Leandoer & Ekholm) by a New Zealand Author, Sam Olsen. I am told the second volume is much of the same.

Dambusters Vol 1: The Rise of Precision Bombing March 1943-M
I had a call from a friend of mine who works in a bookshop in London about this at the weekend. Its a large hardback volume, the first of two, retailing at £45.00. When I saw it I was disappointed to say the least. For a start almost the entire photo contents have been featured in other books over t...
