Re: Plates to suit

Well done, John. Welcome back. I've two sets of personalized plates "SP1T2" that was on a Mk2 Spitfire I had and "59MOG" on my 59 Morris Minor Ute. Should try for one for 467 Squadron for my MX5. Just checked and POS467 and POW467 are available.

Re: One year without John

Have tried John's number a number of times but it always goes to message bank. Have left messages but no one gets back. I wonder if they've gone on an extended holiday.

Re: One year without John

I checked through the private messages that I had from John and found his address. Searched the white pages and found a phone number for that address but, when I rang, no one was home. Will try again later.

Re: 460 RAAF Squadron help

I had a quick look at the ORBs for Feb/Mar 44 but couldn't find their names. The National Archives of Australia have plenty of digitized records for 460 Squadron. Just need plenty of time to troll through them all. Good luck.

Looking good so far Max. I'll have a good look when we get back from the land of the maple leaf. Off 4am tomorrow.

WW2 Trivia

Unrelated to Bomber Command but interesting: Strange History of WWII You might enjoy this from Col D. G. Swinford, USMC, Ret and history buff. You would really have to dig deep to get this kind of ringside seat to history: 1. The first German serviceman killed in WW II was killed by the Japanese ( C...
