Found this image on e bay. The photograph is dated 10th October 1941 and features Australian and New Zealand? aircrew cadets. I wonder how many of these chaps were destined for Bomber command?...how many would return home? RAAF & RNZAF airmen 1941.JPG The caption on the original image read: ANZA...

Did your father mention a location for the buried Stirlings? I doubt they were buried intact but, would still be of use to the Stirling project even if they are in pieces.
