PS please try to avoid the temptation at your considerably advanced age and condition to take up running. You'd look so silly earing a head band
I'm not that daft - I will wear some suitable clothing as well, Dummy!!
PS Model is looking good notwithstanding of the workmanship.

Re: Fortress III of 214 sqdn, 100 Group
Interesting you are doing BU-J. That was the aircraft in shot down as you say on the 3/4th March 45. And the one of which I have some pieces. It crashed just outside of the airfield. It was about to land and due to a damaged aircraft behind was asked to go round again. Whilst it was climbing away it...

Re: Bad show at the NA !!
It is probably people just don't care. They see no real purpose or value in the records. But is it not widespread? I find most institutions are at best unhelpful and disinterested.

Re: Aerial photos reveal the apocalyptic
Have seen the like before. And also pictures of the Concentration Camps. The German High Command admitted in 1943 that if the bombing continued as it was they could not win the war. If anyone is guilty for the loss of life on both sides then it must be they. But in fact it is people who kill people ...

Re: Fortress III of 214 sqdn, 100 Group
Hmmmmm... thought I would drop in. I am only a short distance from Oulton from which 214 operated. Have you got Streetly's book on the aircraft of 100 Group? Invaluable for all the aerials etc. and other gizmos. The aircraft varied in their colour scheme - some camo - some all over black. Also some ...

Re: Current Aircraft Models being made ..........
Thank you John - I must admit that building that kind of model is a nice change from the plastic ones although it has t be said that those are very demanding too. To fill a bit of space here is another "uncovered"... As to Max - well he is getting on a bit now I suppose? For my part the re...

Re: Current Aircraft Models being made ..........
Well as the scope of this topic is being stretched a bit here is something I am in the process of finishing - for the younger members it is a Sopwith Pup WWi fighter and occasional bomber also used by the RNAS. The construction is traditional - bits of balsa stick glued together - covered with tissu...

Re: Airfix Short Stirling with White Ensign P.E. sets.
This is looking very nice - there were I think I recall some oddities generally which calls for re-scribing which you obviously have in hand. I remember too that the cockpit was a bit bizarre - the levels of the floors quite wrong but at this scale not too much of a problem. Clearly it is going to l...

Re: Allies 'should say sorry for bombing Germans
Have just seen this topic. Once again a desperate attempt to gain recognition by being selective with the truth. One needs to define civilians. Anyone helping the war effort - by working in a factory, supplying goods, rebuilding damaged buildings and so on is not a civilian. But a combatant. And of ...
