Re: Aircraft Parts Challenge No4

Doh!

I should have known this, we've got one in our spares rack

I did initially think Stirling but I didn't think the extension for half pint pilots looked like that. Note to self; must go with gut instinct :D

Short Stirling Photo Collection

Hi John

You're correct, the tone of the fuselage is very light and the large door makes me think that it could be a Transport Command one. I may try and re-scanning it to make the picture darker

Short Stirling Photo Collection

I was handed the following photos this morning by one of the Security Staff here at work. They show 2 scenes taken at RAF Bourn and look to be of SEBRO staff. Interesting to see a Liberator in the background of the 1st pic John L http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/k548/k4kittycrew/stirlingFP01.jpg ...

Re: Aircraft Identification Challenge No: 45

Sounds right, 2 nacelles and the upper cockpit mounted sight gives it away :)

Re: Aircraft Identification Challenge No: 43

Could this be the one at the bottom of the page on this link with an 'S' type turret fitted to a Mk II?
