Re: Flight Sergeant James Albert Cannon - 90 Sqn ?

Can't find anything on him up to end of 1943 or in the odd months i have in 1944, so wondering if he was with the squadron later.

Re: Flight Sergeant James Albert Cannon - 90 Sqn ?

Paul,
Just for starters, his service number shows him enlisting in May 1940 at either Uxbridge, Penarth or Gloucester. I do have the 90sqdn ORB from 1937 to Dec 43, and a few odd months in 44 so will have a look through it over the next couple of days.

Regards...Alan.

Re: seeking aircraft info

Judith, I have a full copy of the 61sqdn Operations Record Book and would be glad to help out with information/copies of the pages relevant to his time with the squadron. The record shows that he was posted to 61sqdn 10th Aug 43 from 1654 CU ? (not 1661) On checking his ops with 61sqdn, he did a 2nd...

Re: Downed Short Stirling recently found

I'm surprised that they can claim it to be that of PK225 without any hard evidence to say it is.
