I am wondering if that is a windsock flying from the mast. RAF aircrew wore two identity tags, one fireproof, the other waterproof.

Max, I understand that the dog flew on Sunderlands covering Atlantic convoys, he would probably have been the doing the dog watch.

John, the photo of the bomb damaged Halifax appears to showa 4 gun mid upper. I cannot recall having seen one before. Does anybody know the amount of rounds carried & where they were stowed.
