I am wondering if that is a windsock flying from the mast. RAF aircrew wore two identity tags, one fireproof, the other waterproof.

Max, I understand that the dog flew on Sunderlands covering Atlantic convoys, he would probably have been the doing the dog watch.
I agree with Wayne that FIDO would be hard to beat. If he was attacked by an enemy fighter, it would quickly become a mess err shmit

John, the photo of the bomb damaged Halifax appears to showa 4 gun mid upper. I cannot recall having seen one before. Does anybody know the amount of rounds carried & where they were stowed. :?:
