460 Sqn, Binbrook in 1 Group. Each Group raised a Special Duties Flight during the Overlord period to provide Group-specific marking capability. Frequent targets laid on at short notice meant PFF couldn't cover everything.

Saw the Blenheim at Chalke Valley History Festival on Saturday - quite a sight! It's in Mk 1 configuration (short nose). It looks quite solid and sprightly in the air. Not hard to see staff officers being impressed with it in 1937, when the squadrons still had Harts etc. There was a Catalina there y...
