Re: LMF - Interesting details from book

We cannot put ourselves in the place of others - simply that. As to today well again it is very much up to the individual and his/her composition. I am a little concerned that there is a slight chance that todays stance on the traumas suffered may encourage feeling to give. After the South Atlantic ...

Re: WW2 Aircraft Production images

Fascinating - thank you. I was particularly intrigued by the picture of the Halifax's about just under halfway down. Notice that they are not all exactly in line - some set behind others but the line of the camo is in line. Does this mean they are all sprayed in line regardless of position meaning t...

Re: FPV footage of a recent WW2 Anniversary Celebration.

Quite superb - what a lovely way to present such an occasion! And good piloting too - although easier with modern gyros etc. still demands a considerable amount of skill and concentration. Some chaps up here are just starting a business with these machines - amazing technology so I feel your Son can...

May be a delay on this - Max is said to be in Africa and a chum of mine there who studies and lectures in anthropology claims they have found the missing link - I think from what he says in fact they may have come across Max, sitting in a baobab (Adansonia) tree!!

Re: Bomber command memorial vandalised

It has to be the case that those working in the climate change domain have a job for life and then some. And quite a cushy time generally. Very profound Tom, the chap who put up the graffiti was not just a yob who happened to find a can of spray paint -much more sophisticated. And with callous intent.

Re: Bomber command memorial vandalised

Steve - you have set out the stall very well - and so colourfully. A pleasure to read from start to finish. Your point on revealing the costs is very significant. Sometimes I have occasion to mix with some of these renegade liberals all left wing principles and right wing bank balances; and truly th...

Re: Bomber command memorial vandalised

Very regrettable - but as has been said - no real deterrent! However there is no deterrent to the "fanatics". The culprits will almost certainly never be identified - even if they were seen! It is possible of course that they have no connection with Islam but could be people trying to caus...

Re: Another Sign Of The Times ............

Yes - no problem with health and safety as such - it has always been around for as long as I can remember. I feel that today it is the implementation of it by some people who are not practical. I have always had some sympathy with them but in recent years have found it more difficult. In fact I have...

Re: Another Sign Of The Times ............

Certainly the litigation aspect is a big factor, Douglas, but this is a product of our "nanny society" and has been encouraged over the years by the ridiculous awards by the judiciary and the ambulance chasing lawyers. Sue for gain is now a common practice.
