Re: Welcome Dennis - RAF Two Tour BC Veteran

I'll second that John, and just to embarrass the old chap, post a photo: Dennis on the left, his pilot Johnny Meagher centre and Colin Watt, Australian Lancaster pilot right. Not sure who the young good looking guy is standing! http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i80/galgos1/DennisJohnnyColinandme.jpg

Re: Not a Stirling but the next best thing !!

Re: Stirling EE903 of No.218 (Gold Coast) Squadron

The Nachtjagd War Diaries has EE903 probably shot down by Lt Wilhelm Henseler of 4./NJG1, his first victory (abschuss) so no doubt he enjoyed it. It took place near Wickrath, 4km SW of Rheydt at an altitude of 4.500m at 03.30hrs. German fighters, both Zahme and Wilde Sau, were concentrated in the ta...

Re: Welcome!

Good morning, I joined the site some time ago via John's recommendation though I regret to say I've made no direct input to it, which I hope to correct in the future. My primary interest lies with 467 and 463 squadrons flying Lancasters out of Waddington, my link being that my father's best friend w...
