I'd agree with 'Stirling', its the pressurised version of the Wellington, which had a sealed crew compartment, and I think, remote barbettes..

I think Richard has it. He's right about the tailplane, but I think it falls slightly lower than the main wing, and is therefore hidden by it.

Thanks for that Alan I dropped Howard an email a couple of weeks ago, but so far I have had no answer. I've not had an answer from Geoff Reynolds either, Secretary of the Mildenhall Register. However, your link gives Howards address, so I'll drop him one of those old fashioned letter things and see ...

There seems to be a clear lower nose. I'll plump for an Airspeed Oxford.

Ooooo, sneaky John. I would have said Havoc or Boston, but seeing the glazed nose, I agree its a B-25.
