Re: Gresse, Germany RAF Friendly fire incident
Hello All, Just an update, I had a reply from someone on the Key Publishing forum regarding the place in Germany 'Vendishaven'. This was where Charles Hall (in my grandfathers 'combine') described that was where him and Les Davenport (my grandfather) met the British on the 18th April 45 after escapi...

All, Furthering my research on this subject I have found out that my grandfather left Fallingbostel on the 6th April 1945 but escaped the column on the 13th April 1945 with a Charles Frederick Hall of 207 Sqn. They were in a 'Combine' together throughout all camps as they were shot down on the same ...

Re: Les davenport - POW Wartime log LIST OF NAMES UPDATED!!
Hello All, I have hit the 'motherload' of information regarding my grandfather and his time as POW. His b...

Millions Like Us (Film 1943)
All, I caught a film the other day which was made in 1943 a British Propaganda film and it was a likeable good old film. What made it even better was that the women were working in an aircraft factory and they roll out a Short Stirling fresh off the production line. Take a look it has George Jackson...

Gresse, Germany RAF Friendly fire incident

On the 19th April 1945 RAF Typhoons mistook the col...

Re: Short stirling I N3754 MG-O RAF 7 Squadron

Let me ask the question and probe first before I go sharing contact details, thats probably the best approach. As they are in Australia I am dealing with a time difference, so pl...
