Good story, although the Daily Mail has not done it's research very well, stating it to be the largest bomb dropped by the RAF, when it was reasonably small when compared to Grandslam at 22,000lbs.

Jonathon, I do have the 161sqdn ORB, but not the other two, and would gladly sort out the pages that refer to ops carried out by the Eddy crew. The ORB only gives the pilots name for each op (unlike others, that give full crew details) and i will look through and sort out all relevent pages and get ...

Stirling EE879, OJ-G took off from Lakenheath 20.35 for ops to Berlin. Records show it crashing at Sputendorf, NNW of Ludwigsfelde with the loss of all the crew.
