Re: UK visit summer 2013
Those photos look like the old hangar at Duxford, I just loved the old timber "lattice" on the roof and the timber doors to the hangar. When I was there for "Flying Legends" the Lanc was in the new building with EVERYTHING else, packed in so tight it was hard to photograph indivi...

Re: For beer connoisseurs

Re: UK visit summer 2013
Well, where to start. For me England was fantastic for the sheer volume of aircraft available to see, both in the air and on the ground. My First sight of a Lancaster in the air was at East Kirkby when the BBMF Lanc flew over with the Typhoon as a practice run for the Waddington airshow. Then again ...

Re: UK visit summer 2013
Thanks for the comments. Alan that is what I meant by terrifying, the mere thought of doing hours at night in the freezing cold, dark and having all those trying to stop you doing your job and getting home safely, its just amazing. Another thought for the many... They let me through customs even wit...

Re: UK visit summer 2013
WOW, I came, I saw, I soared. What can I say. Outstanding, Awesome, Incredible, terrifying, uplifting, and humbling and so much more. 50+ minutes in the air with incredibly smooth lift off and touchdown with a reasonable Northwesterly blowing and perfectly clear skies after the rain the night before...

Re: Interesting discovery in Arizona aircraft boneyard
Yes Max,
That will probably happen because there aren't enough multimillionaires in Oz that give a rats about aeroplanes to make it happen here.
