Here is the message sent by Michael Ash:

It is my sad duty to inform the society that my Uncle Mr. Arthur W. Edgley
(or Warrant Officer "Joe" Edgley) who was a member for many years, but has
lapsed these last several passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve 2016. He
was a member of XV SQD., a rear gunner on Stirlings. He was shot down on a
raid to Dusseldorf and crashed in Holland, he was on the run with one other
survivor for six weeks, upon capture he ended up in Stalag Luft 1VB for 2
years. He has had a wonderful life, his own words and will be sadly missed
by all his family and friends.

Best Wishes Mike Ash

R.I.P. Joe
