Robert Kee

Post by smudgersmith218 »

Gents,

Ex 44 Squadron and 420 Squadron pilot.

Robert Kee, the writer and broadcaster, who has died aged 93, was well known as the presenter of such programmes as Panorama, This Week, Yorkshire Television’s Various Faces of Communism, and ITN’s lunchtime news programme, which he launched in 1972; he was, however, probably most famous, both as a presenter and writer, as a historian of Irish nationalism.

I remember him well, but wasn't aware of his service history. RIP.

Me neither Richard. Perhaps he and Richard Dimbleby can have a good yarn about the BBC and wartime exploits whilst lounging on their cloud! RIP
