Hello,

I've to report a very very sad news.
Jim Coman DFC who was a Committee Member of the Stirling Aircraft Society has passed away at the age of 90.
I've had the chance to meet two times Jim and I'll always remember a very kind and generous man who was so simple.
Jim also known as Warrant Officer James Coman DFC was a Wireless Operator /Air Gunner who flew with both 149 and 90 Squadrons on Wellingtons, Stirlings and Lancasters completing 52 Ops including one of the first raids on Berlin made in a Wellington.
I invite you to read the article at the link below in which, by example, we learn than Flight Sergeant Ron Middleton VC flew his first three missions at RAF Mildenhall as part of Jim's crew:
