BF309- BF358; BF372-BF416; BF434-BF454 (116) Mk.1; BF455-BF483; BF500- Bf534; BF561-BF580 (84) Mk.111; BF464; BF468; BF532; BF575; BF580 were converted to Mk.1V. Delivered by Short & Harland between Mar43 and May43. Contract No.774677/38. Delivered to No.149 Sqdn 5May43. BF530 was one of two 149 Sqdn Stirlings lost on this operation. See: EF400. Airborne 2327 3Jul43 from Lakenheath. Outbound, shot down from 14,000 feet by a night-fighter (Oblt Heinz-Wolfgang Schanufer, 11./NJG4) and crashed 0058 at Geetbets (Brabant), 15 km NE of Tienen, Belgium. Those killed are buried in Heverlee War Cemetery. P/O Cozens and F/O Redman gained immediate awards during operations to D_sseldorf May43, details Gazetted 15Jun43. F/S Hodge was in the hands of the Com_te Organisation by Sep43.
