Only Twin Engine Fighter WW2 !!

Post by AlanW »

Just watched an American made programme that made me laugh, not because of a "comical" sense, but because of the statement it made.... The P.38 Lightning, was "unique" in that it was the only two engined fighter of WW2. So !! what happened to the ME110, Whirlwind, Beaufighter, Mosquito, etc etc :D
Yet another aspect of the US re-inventing history.
There is no paralell in warfare, to such courage and determination in the face of danger, over so long a period. Such devotion, should never be forgotten.

Wasn't that because the Americans were the only ones in the war? No offence meant to those enlighted Americans who know otherwise.
