Bristol Beaufighter getting a tune up .........

Post by K4KittyCrew »

I guess this one way of calling it .............Bristol Beaufighter getting a tune up.
I'm assuming the wall is their method of testing the correct height and angle of the guns?

"The wall" would have been a sloping bank of sand against a wall... I've never seen one with a roof on though! Also where are it's wheels? There is more going on here than meets the eye!

Looks like it's the wheels they are working on. One on the left with crew working around it, a second underneath the aircraft and a tube or new tyre over to the right.

Yes, I agree with Kerry. I think the location in front of the firing butts is purely co-incidental and that what they're really doing is maintenance work on the wheels/tyres.

Maybe that's why the Beatles sang songs like ..........

Help.
I should have known better.
Baby you can drive my car.
Cry baby cry.
Chains.
Misery.
Taxman.

Or maybe it is about another place ............. the song, 'A Day in The Life' " .............. four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire".
