Tucano with 76 sqn markings still in service?

Post by MT606 »

I've just had a low flypast of x2 tucano's in the standard black with yellow flash markings but the lead one had what looked like MP sqn codes, but said sqn disbanded back in 2011.
Have they reformed or just left the markings on?

This is the one you mean. I would say that it's probably more of a tribute to an aircraft, or even 76sqdn, for reasons unknown. If you google RAF Tucano, you can get images of other Tucano's in squadron markings.

There is no paralell in warfare, to such courage and determination in the face of danger, over so long a period. Such devotion, should never be forgotten.

thanks for that Alan, yeah I'd googled for tucano markings but most links seemed to be about 76sqn R that was disbanded in 2011.
They were going some, banking n yanking coming off of a turning point on a low level nav ex/formation trip in the hills where I live.
