Canadian Sojourn

Post by R5868 »

We've finally done it. This week we booked our holiday in Canada. The first section is in BC and a cruise to Alaska and then off to the east coast. We have two nights in Toronto (28/29 May) so will hopefully be able to include a visit to the Warplane Heritage Museum (may need lots of begging and scraping) . In those two days I will meet up with a distant cousin whom I've never met and the son of my uncle's bomb aimer. I don't think I'll have time to arrange a flight as we are on a tour. This year we decided that we would spend our 40th wedding anniversary out of Australia so it will be in Vancouver.

Looking forward to meeting up with our Canadian Forum members.

Congratulations to you both, Kerry.
Hope you enjoy your time in Canada and trust you'll supply us with many images of the Lanc in the Museum.
If it is possible, are you looking to visit the Handley Page Halifax ( Friday 13th )while you are there?
Cheers,
John

I've checked the Heritage museum website and unfortunately we'll be there a couple of days early for most of the flights. They start in June. Damn!!!

Hi Kerry,
the Canadian Warplane Heritage museum is well worth a look even if you're not flying,
enjoy.

Well done Kerry and Shell, 40 years eh? I can second Neale's recommendation about the CWHM, quite a way out of Toronto though.
