Re: The Stirling Aircraft Project Update
Merry Xmas to you all
Here's a quick update to show you the 1st pilot's seat which is now complete for the basic structure minus the harness and armour. It fought us all the way it's now fully assembled and we now have the knowledge to work on the 2nd pilot's seat; at least that doesn't have the armour

Re: The Stirling Aircraft Project Update
The project has just been donated some surplus workshop machinery courtesy of Shakespeare Engineering in Essex. This substantial donation including a turret mill, will increase our ability to make items in house.
Thanks again to Shakespeare who have been our Father Christmas this year

Re: The Stirling Aircraft Project Update
That's a generous donation from Shakespeare Engineering Fantastic !!!
I'm glad they decided The Stirling Project should benefit from the surplus machinery.
Thanks for the update, and enjoy your 'present'

Re: The Stirling Aircraft Project Update
Hi all
You may remember a while back that we discovered that we had to revisit one of our assemblies due to having got the wrong idea about it's configuration, needless to say we've recovered the situation and made progress. The assembly is nearly there now and just needs the addition of a cast bracket which is about to go to the foundry and some spacers for the rudder chain sprockets.
