Hi all,

I found an interesting photo of the Stirling undercarriage on the IWM site.
It's a 7 squadron Stirling on jacks with the port wheel retracting.
Shows how complicated the system was.

Again credit is to the IWM.

Hi Wayne, your right mate, is certainly does look complicated. Why the undercarriage flaps are not connected to the main frame is beyond me. The benefit of hindsight is a marvellous thing.

I earlier posted pictures of the 190 squadron. The copies I have show great detail and show the majority of personnel have a whistle attached to their lapel. And these are for....
P.S. Is there a way to load the higher quality photos.
