Here is an unusual photo of a Stirling, somewhat tired, a bit like the photo but they are all good to have on board.

Thanks for that John. yet another different configuration of the cockpit, it must have been a nightmare for the aircrew to locate equipment etc as no 2 cockpits seem to have the same layout.

The chap who started the above thread is Peter Forkasiewicz an incredibly talented 3d computer graphic artist. He is working on a Stirling at the moment. If you have a look at this thread you can see some examples of his work on a Lanc. http://ehangar.com/modules.php?name=For ... sc&start=0 When you've picked your jaw up off the floor on the 2nd page of the thread, third post up from the bottom there are some links to his work on the Stirling.

Attached is the 1661 CU, Winthorpe photo i was talking about, if you can reduce the size for posting, without losing any quality, it'll be great. Would it be possible to place a copy in the Photo's section as well as in the Short Stirling Aircraft forum. The photo was passed to me by Rodney and June Watts, Junes father "Sgt M.H. Wigham" is 6th from left.
Of these seven,
the 2nd, F/Sgt N.C. Rooker. W/Op.
3rd, Sgt R.L. Puckett. R/Gnr.
4th, F/O J. Drylie. Nav.
6th, Sgt M.H. Wigham. M/U.
and 7th, F/Sgt S.K. Black RAAF, A/B,
were on board 106sqdn Lancaster NE150, captained by Sgt J.C. Warren, with Sgt F.L. Corner, F/E, lost on 6/7th June 1944.
F/O Drylie evaded, F/Sgt Black was presumed killed on 11/06/44, when the village of Graignes, where he was with American troops, was attacked and overun by Germans, type "Graignes Massacre" into Google for details.
