Great photos Steve, thanks for posting them.

The second photo ( Stirling in the drink ) looks like the nose / front canopy, has been squashed / pushed in by the impact? ............. or did the canopy always 'sit up' as such?

The cockpit canopy was rather raised, but I think on this occassion it was more from damage.
