I too want to pass on my condolences for the passing of your grandfather. Hopefully he shared some of his experiences with you, so that his legacy along with those he served with will live on.

Yes grandad shared many stories and I have great memories, I have just received some pictures and books of his and have also researched myself
It’s an amazing story he did two tours and very eventful ones too
