CHANGES TO THE FORUM - UPDATE - October 2012

Post by K4KittyCrew »

Hello to all members and guests.

Bruno and I are continuing to update the forum so we can offer more to everyone that visits.

Our main focal point at present is an emphasis towards 'RESEARCH'' ............... to allow members to contribute selected data and run a particular GROUP.
By doing so, it is acknowledgement to that particular person who 'specialises' in a given GROUP, so we can all benefit from.
These sections may contain 'MOVEMENT CARDS - ORB's, ACCIDENTS / INCIDENTS' and alike.

We are currently awaiting legal feedback on 'copyright' data, to how we can present details from the National Archives. In regards to this matter, have had positive response but are waiting for written documentation.

By inviting selected members to run certain GROUPS, it not only accelerate the building of the forum,it also lessens the burden on Bruno and myself so we can, invest more time in other selected areas.

At present, we have Bob Wilton looking after 'CREW LOSSES' in general for various nationalities.

We are looking to Steve Smith to run the 3 GROUP section ................ ( further details on this, as they come to hand )

When a new member joins the forum, we are NOT looking to conduct searches / supply details, just for the sake of it.
We trust that new members can appreciate many hours of work can be spent sourcing details, etc.
We would be looking to ask new members the how this information ( a tailored search ) is relevant to them.

We have encountered many requests over the years, where our researching members have spent much time sourcing & collating information for people ....... and sadly, they do not come back on the forum / and or, show any acknowledgement to the researcher / forum.

On saying that, most people are appreciative of the efforts of the researchers.

FOOTNOTE -

Only one RESEARCHER will be listed with a particular GROUP. ( A researcher may run more than one, GROUP / SQUADRON. )
If any member has details for a particular GROUP or SQUADRON ............ and wishes to join in and add details for another GROUP / SQUADRON, please contact myself or Bruno.

Further updates will follow soon.
Cheers,
John
