Advertising products on forum

Members,
I've just removed the advertisement of a book thread from the forum.
I have selectively allowed certain members to parade the books because they have made a significant contribution to the forum, Steve our historian is an example. The same applies to John L. from 'The Stirling Project. Their contribution is much valued.
However, I will not allow members who only join up with the view of flogging their products, which is no benefit to the forum & members.
If a member wishes to put their book, etc on the forum, please private message myself or anyone of the moderators in advance before posting.
