Can anyone identify this?

The cable shown in this photo appears to be coming out of the neck area of the sidcot suit. I thought it might be an intercom connction but as it only seems to be worn by the airgunners on the photo, could it be a heated suit connection?

Dave,
I think the "intercom" option may be the correct one. I found this picture of a dummy in a Talor suit, with what appears to be the same cable going to the earphones, but!

That's a standard intercom jack hanging off the end.

I confirm it as the standard intercom jack plug as fitted to crew headsets.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the welcome, pity I had to get busted back to LAC. 47 years ago I was was happy to get promoted from Senior Apprentice to AC.

I bet Dennis has got some stories.
