Thanks Alan .... if that is the case then the crew details are ...

On 7th March Wellington (HE818) on another night training flight crashed in Blyth close to the memorial that now sits on the
village green. Pilot Officer Frank Reginald Bedford now buried at Harrogate (Stonefall) cemetery, Sergeant Charles Robson (Peter) Whisk now buried at South Shields (Harton) cemetery, Sergeant Ralph Wallace Tunnicliffe now buried at Hasland Cemetery and Sergeant Derek William Tindell now buried at Camberwell New cemetery. There was only one survivor from this Flight Sergant C Clitheroe who died in August 1944.

Sounds promising ... will try to get over this week and follow up lines of enquiry in the nearest local... ;)

Hi John ..
Just having a scan through posts as I have not been on forums for a while ... any idea why the original images I uploaded are not viewable any more ?
Should I try and upload them again ... if I can find where I put the scanned images
Cheers

Hello,

I'm really sorry but some months ago when I update the forum software I made a mistake and during a moment the forum was totally lost. Finally the forum was saved but not some photos. :(

Hi Gary

" I have a nice set of plans for Fraser-Nash Turrets and one for bomb winches and cable cutters.... these apparently were placed on the wings??) ;)"

I'm very interested in the plans you mention. The cable cutters were also fitted to some Stirlings

Hi James ...

I think your reply might relate to the Stirling plans that I put a post about many moons ago .. :P :P

I still have them ... but have not been able to get a large enough scanner for the documents ..

Cheers

Hi Gary

Could you scan them in sections? Easy enough to stitch them together even if that was needed.

Hi Gary

I could stitch them if you get a blank from your IT Crowd!
