Pleased for you Ian. My father would have "rubbed shoulders" with these airmen.

There is nothing more that makes me feel so good than to hear forum members, who have found a common touch of their fathers and alike, either having flown together and or having found a common bond whilst serving Bomber Command.

W.S Bellew was my grand father,
William Stanley Bellew, rear gunner in a 7 squadron sterling, shot down over Berlin,he spent 4years in stalag luft 3&8b.
I have many photos of both camps, mainly of the camp shows.

Great to hear from you glad we can have a chat about our grandfathers and their escapades with 7 Squadron and POW experiences. I will call you. Also I will look through pictures I have etc and documents for further information.

Well thats made my year, I live in hope other relatives will do the same and find this post.
