Hello gentlemen,
we have located a crashsite near the City of Moers, west of Duisburg, germany.
A very big area of wreckparts in a forest.
We search with detectors and found more than 60 wreckparts on the first day.
After cleaning the parts we found this numbers and stamps on it: 129.... and 329......, stamps: round, BAP 36...
We think this is the crashsite from Short Stirling W 7629 / MG-Z / 7th. Sqdr., lost on 7.9.1942, in the area north of Moers / west of Duisburg.
Mission on 6.9.1942: bombing Duisburg
Crew:
N.A. Bennitt
R.Sawyer
G.L. John
N. Spelding
J.M.Smith
H.W.Aldidge
C.J. Dupreez
We now searching any informations about the mission, crew and the aircraft.
In the next weeks we will detect this area again....for more informations and wreckparts.
Any informations are welcome...
