That first picture of the Stirling is interesting. Looks like they are loading two 2000lb Cookies on, along with a load of incendiaries'. not very often that you see a pictures of these type of Cookies. They were fitted with a parachute in the tail for stabilization once the bomb was dropped.

Here attached is a loadout for a Lancaster. I got this somewhere off the net.

The first photo is definitely a Mine, (Vegetable)
There is no paralell in warfare, to such courage and determination in the face of danger, over so long a period. Such devotion, should never be forgotten.
