Hi,
I got the information on another Forum that F/Lt Ernest Charles LANE-SANSAM (42236) was in No.15 Squadron in July 1940. I hope someone can confirm when he joined 15 Sqn, when he left the unit and which unit he was posted to when he left 15 Sqn. Probably is his name spelled LANE-SAMSON in the ORB.
I have a copy of the 15 Sqn ORB from 1941 but did not find his name there and I guess he left the unit latest before it was transferred to 3 Group 1 November 1940.
Probably was Sergeant Robert Douglas Lewis, 653884 his WOP/AG. In the citation for Lewis DFM dated 30 July 1941 it was written: “He has been flying with this pilot [Lane-Sansam] for about a year and done 60 operational raids.
Thanks in advance,
Peter
