Hello gentlemen,
some month ago we found the crashsite from a lancaster MK-1 in the area from Much, ca. 15 KM east of Siegburg / germany.
The small village called Niederelben. An older Lady remembered the crash in 1943....
We find out that this is the crashsite from Lancaster ED 348 / KM-M, 5.BG (?), 44.Sqd., crashed 2.10.1943 after hit by Flak near Wuppertal.
Some crewmembers were buried first in Much, after crash....
