Canadian War Cemetery Holland

Post by Bob Wilton »

A vandal at the Canadian Military Cemetery at Groesbeek, near Nijmegan Holland, has broken into the metal box and set fire to all the grave register books. There is smoke damage and the cost of the repair will be an estimated €1,500. Shame on the person or persons who did it.
It is in the Nijmegan newspaper today.

Hello Bob, thanks for posting this information.
Just goes to show that there are people all over the world who have little respect for those who served us but at the end of the day, there are also people like us who outnumber them ........... luckily.
Cheers,
John

There are also Australians and RNZAF and RAF airmen buried in this cemetery and I have photographs of all the grave markers.
