Hi all,

Can someone tell me how many 1500 lb sea mines a Stirling could carry please?
I know it would depend on fuel and range to gardening area, but what is the maximum number a Stirling could carry?

Hi Wayne,

I've asked John Reid, our archivist and historian, and here is his answer:

Sea mine loads varied enormously and the maximum a Stirling could carry was 6 with some long range sorties only allocated 3 or 4.
