75 (NZ) Assn

Post by Oggie2620 »

We dont have a website at the moment but anyone interested in this Squadron could contact either
Sgt Glen Turner the New Zealand Assn Secretary on Sgt Glen Turner (75SQN.ASSNZ@windowslive.com) or Kevin King the UK Friends of the Assn secretary on Kevin King (kevinfking@talktalk.net). Members of families are very welcome to join as both have reunions where veterans are present (at the moment). Next reunion for the UK branch is this year. Next reunion for NZ is 2012.

For anyone interested in meeting veterans and families of veteran the UK Friends of 75 (NZ) Sqn will be having a reunion in November 2010 in Newmarket. Details are available from Kevin King above. Saturday there is generally a brief memorial at Newmarket Rowley Racecourse (RAF Newmarket Heath - Stirlings flown from there) during the day and then a meal inthe evening on Saturday. Then on Sunday we have a memorial service at Mepal (Lancasters flown from there) and since is also Remembrance Sunday carry on to the 14-18 memorial too. The people of Mepal always turn out in force and the plinth area is smashing. There is a fabulous little museum at Witchford that commemorates both 75 & 115 Sqn...
