Re: Luftwafle Claims on Stirlings
Further to my above posting.
Here is the link all Luftwaffe Claims on Bomber Command. Again, in some cases you identify the actual luftwaffe pilot and there will be some cases where the best outcome will be a select group of pilots, operating on that night / in that given zone.

Please be patient, it takes time to load.
This is an excellent research tool.

Re: Luftwafle Claims on Bomber Command Aircraft
Further to my previous post. There will be 'errors' throughout these listings ( That can be the case with such databases ) so do your best to cross reference as much as possible.
For example, a luftwaffe pilot may have claimed an aircraft but in fact, the aircraft survived to fly away only to be claimed by another pilot and or be claimed by the Flac batteries, etc. So don't treat everything as gospel.
Overall, the database should prove to be very worthwhile.

Re: Luftwafle Claims on Bomber Command Aircraft
Hello,
2 years ago I located and probed both crash sites with my Detector. At both crash sites (ME-110 and Stirling N6010) I have found parts of the aircraft. Both aircraft crashed in a distance of about 1 km in the area of the small village "Beverbruch".. In a chronicle reports of an air collision. Whether it is true I can not prove it.It is very strange that both aircraft crashed so close together.
To this day, I am looking for a picture of the Stirling crew. I am in possession of an image of Fw.Säwert.
friendly regards
Volker

Hello Volker and welcome to the forum.
If we can find a picture of the crew from Short Stirling N6010, we will post it here for you and all.
Sometimes, we are lucky, sometimes not. We will try.
Cheers,
John

Re: Luftwafle Claims on Bomber Command Aircraft
Hi
Can I hop onto this thread?
I'm very interested in any reports concerning N6012 (one report claims attacked by Night fighter) and N6009 (was definitely attacked by night fighter, I have two witnesses)
There is info on the internet about these two aircraft - which I already have - I guess I'm looking for unpublished (well not on the web that is!) information/photos if anyone has any.
Cheers
James
