Ok Mr Humorous, I resemble that remark............. but as you know, Rome wasn't built in a day, month or year and the way I'm going, it could be a Tri-Centennial project. Yesterday I closed the plane up and started using the airbrush for the first time. A very nifty little tool. Today, I hope to continue masking up and spraying.
Regards,
John

I protest... you progress is indeed speedy - unlike mine which is tardy to say the least. So I am impressed and ashamed. And the standard of workmanship is to a high standard. 8-)

David it's all good mate, by the way, your tip to use acrylics is appreciated.
Max, your tip on photocopying the plans to get the stencil pattern is brilliant, there was no way I was going to be able to bend the masking tape, thanks.

Anyway, these pics were taken immediately after spraying ( you can see the paint is still wet )
I've also included a pic of the airbrush. Only $49.50 AUD

Hi folks,

Just one word of caution when spraying to stencils.............. when you spray a stencil, spray OVER the top of the left hand side stencil, shooting back towards the middle ................ and do the same when doing the right hand side .................... this way, you won't spray under the stencil edge on the other side.
Hope this makes sense........... if not PM me and I'll send you off a quick drawing to explain.

Very good John. I hate to agree with old Parky, but you are making fantastic progress, I'm very impressed!! Yes the angle of the airbrush is very important on many occasions - the height of the stencil above the surface is also critical (and can be controlled of course). Congrats! Come on Kerry - John's putting you to shame, or are you too busy looking for narwhales? ;)

I raise my hat to you Sir! Your skill and progress is nothing short of admirable. I feel I will now retire from the modelling scene. Too old - too past it - too lax!!

Go to your doctor, they can give you tablets or an ointment for your sad condition. Is it sore???
