Hellenic Modellers Link

Post by K4KittyCrew »

Hi Folks,

Some of you would have seen this brilliant model elsewhere but I thought I'd post it here for others to see as well, along with some other fine examples. It's great to see they have their site back up and running after some lowlife hacked the site ...... Well done guys.

that site's new to me, but just looked at the Lancaster build - WOW!!

never seen such attention to detail, such intricate work; puts my ham-fisted glue-smothered wonky-legged aberrations to shame!!

truly awesome!

Yes they are all excellent models, beautifully finished and enhanced further by whoever does their Photoshop work to "set" the models in realistic backgrounds. Being a great fan of Bf110s, I was immediately attracted to that one and noticed, curiously, that in some of the completed shots, the aileron balances on the port wing are back-to-front in one or two pictures but the correct way round in the rest!

Thanks for the link John.
I had seen the Lanc before, but not the Halifax. She's a beauty alright.
Way beyond my skill level.

Yes - thank you - not seen the Halifax. I know the FM kit has not been highly praised but his comments on the Sangar kit were interesting. I feel that the panelling is a bit over done - a fad of a number of modellers with pre shading etc. onwards but a pretty amazing effort nonetheless. I wonder how these chaps find the time??
