Model Airport

Post by wayne »

Hi all,

I hope it's ok to post a link to this model airport. It's amazing!!!
If it is off topic John, please delete it.
But you need to see this, imagine if it could be made into a WW2 airfield, with Stirlings or Lancs taking off.
Have a look;

Yes Wayne, a very special computer generated model there, mate. Nothing quite like seeing some Stirlings, Halibags & Lancs taking off and landing though.
Fingers crossed, they will adorn us with such aircraft.

John said, "a very special computer generated model there"
I have watched the whole thing and there is nothing computer generated at all.
The aircraft and vehicles run along slots, like the old slot car sets.
The site says;
The world's smallest airport has a size of 150m² and is the newest section of the Miniatur Wunderland. After six years and 150.000 working hours, the Knuffingen Airport has been in operation for a few weeks now.

yes, sorry Wayne ........... don't know what I was thinking but I can easily blame it on being 50 ........ I also have many more excuses in back up mode, should you not accept the first one !
Thanks for trying to cover for me, Kerry. We Aussies do stick together.
Cheers,
John

Thanks Kerry, I'll stop scratching my head now :D

John, nothing wrong with being 50, we improve with age :lol:

I must say though, I'd love to see a similar set up for any Bomber Command squadron.
I think John should buy another 20 Stirling kitsets and set to work :o

You could even have a few Ju88's coming in for a raid as the bombers return, firing AA, explosions. The possibilities are endless.

More to the point, who has a spare 150m2 to put it in?
