James,

I paid £27 plus P&P which I think is a very fair price for the book, which I am currently reading in my study and enjoying immensely.

The dust jacket price of £50 is frankly absurd, I have a number of Fonthill books, all very good and sensibly priced.

I would suggest any potential buyer shop around, this is a great companion to "The Stirling Story" by Michael JF Bowyer.
