After crash-landing at Beachy head in Sussex in May 1942, this Bf 109F-4/B 'White 11' was adopted by No. 1426 (Enemy Aircraft) Squadron of the RAF. Assigned the RAF serial NN644, the aircraft retained its original Luftwaffe Jabo markings.

I thought a 109 fairly quickly, but was a bit baffled by the 'white 11'.

It was the combination of radiator and wheel housing that got it for me, i threw in the Buchon reference just in case it was a trick question. :)
There is no paralell in warfare, to such courage and determination in the face of danger, over so long a period. Such devotion, should never be forgotten.
