Well John, after your comment, I went straight to 'Rolls Royce / Merlin, but to no avail. I then went to Armstrong and Whitworth ............ followed by Bristol, etc ................ :?:

Certainly looks a bit of a beast. Would i be right in thinking that this is a 30's design, given the type of wheel housing shown. And i'm still no further forward in identifying it :(

Well done that man. Once again, i was going up the wrong garden path, hence my coming to a full stop. :(
