Well Cliff has got it :roll:

It is indeed a VL Myrsky, which was a moderately successful Finnish fighter that was largely let down by it's wooden construction being unsuited to the harsh winter conditions.

Groan!!!

You can thank my youngest son for this challenge as he's become quite an expert on Finnish aviation in the 40s and seems to have set himself the challenge of modelling all their major types.
