Ok, without further a do, here is the answers for the crossword.
I want to thank all those who made the effort to 'have a go' which in turn, makes my effort to compile all the worthwhile.
If any clarification is required, please ask.
Any feed back / appraisal is certainly of interest.
Cheers,
John

Hi John - thanks for all your effort to set this up, it was a good challenge and very enjoyable. I still think a Buna is a curry but there you go :D

Ah ha, well done John. I got that top left hand corner in a complete muddle......and could I think of Hereford? Hampden yes, but Hereford escaped my atrophying brain! I've never heard of Buna, I had Ruhr. Good fun though. :D

Bloody hopeless on my part, i was trying to fit T.A. in 6 across
There is no paralell in warfare, to such courage and determination in the face of danger, over so long a period. Such devotion, should never be forgotten.
