Does anyone know what aircraft this is ( photo taken in early production, sometime between 1940 & 1948)

Scale model of a/c factory, with two halves of an Airfix Kit as centre piece  other than that, i've no idea

Looking at the workbench vice, and toolbox, the only place I have seen similar designs is in Germany, as to the aircraft I have not got a clue!

I think I know this one, the large open area being the givaway (if I have it right that is!). I think it shows the construction of a DeHavilland Beaver, probably nearer 1948 (unless its a prototype). I have an idea it was made by DeHavilland Canada rather than any made in the UK.

I believe you are right on the button Alex, the fuselage is upside down in the picture, after looking at photo's of Beavers

The door was a prominent feature. It was an Airfix kit I never got around to buying although I always liked the look of it. I'll be chuffed if I'm right! :D

Well done gate1. DHC-2 Beaver it is. The date on the back of the photo gives it as 1947
