Many Happy Returns to Max the 'Moderator'

Post by K4KittyCrew »

Just wanted to acknowledge Max's (ME453) birthday and thank him for not only his efforts in helping on this forum ( Moderator ) but especially for his friendship and knowledge.
( noticed I said 'friendship' first, before 'knowledge' )

Not too late Richard .............. cause we haven't sighted the old boy as yet. Do hope he's not stuck under a cask of his favourite plonk, El Gringo Chardonnay. Not sure whether the vintage is AM or PM but have heard good reports it whitens & cleans the old lead waste pipes in the sink.

Thanks chaps, rather busy in "other directions" these days so not a great deal of time to read and post on the forum, but believe me I haven't forgotten my friends here. I've just returned from a "busy" 4 day dance workshop session in Torquay: in fact we only managed 2 instructional dance tutorials and the rest of the time was spent in the pool, in the bar or playing "pitch and putt" (which was so funny that I spent most of my time crying with laughter!) Evenings were spent dancing from 9ish into the small hours, then falling exhausted into bed!
I did manage to get up to Waddington for the ANZAC Day service which, due to the late Easter break, was held on 26th April so a day late. It's always a sobering experience but a great privilege to be there - especially poignant this year since we had lunch in the Officers' Mess which was the same room used during WW2. Unfortunately we didn't have our usual flypast of the Lanc - it was "practising", presumably for the Royal Wedding a few days later but it could have practised over the clock in Waddington village!
And Richard, I'm spending a fair amount of time only a stone's throw away from you near Gillingham lately - a Sunday lunchtime drink sometime maybe?
Best wishes and thanks to all

A Sunday beer would be delightful Max, just so long as there's no dancing involved (gives me a headache).

Cheers,

Richard
